(Swaad) 38 : 26
يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ
Oh Dawood! We have made you vicegerent in the earth, then you judge among the mankind with the Truth, and you don’t follow whim, if so it may deviate you from the path of Allah; indeed who are deviated from the path of Allah, for them have a severe punishment for they have been forgetting the Reckoning.
Truth is one of the 40 names of Adhikr as explained in verse 2: 119. Those who deviate from Adhikr which reminds them about the aim of life are following their whim and are strayed from the Straightpath.
